Job Description

About the RoleA renowned Independent boys school in Harrow is looking for a PE Teacher to join their thriving department. This parttime permanent role offers an exceptional opportunity to teach Physical Education up to KS4.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Guide students through GCSE PE coursework and exam preparation.
  • Incorporate various sports fitness activities and health education into lessons.
  • Work alongside the department to enhance the PE curriculum with contemporary insights.
  • Support extracurricular activities such as sports teams clubs and competitions.
  • Develop and manage school sports teams.
  • Organize and lead school sports events.
  • Maintain and manage PE department resources and equipment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of PE department policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • PGCE or QTS.
  • Experience teaching PE up to KS4.
  • Ability to create engaging lessons and assess students effectively.
  • Strong collaboration skills within a sports department.
