Job Description
We are seeking an Application Deployment Analyst to provide code deployment services across multiple Windows and UNIXbased business applications. The role requires expertise in source code control application lifecycle management and software deployments across C#.Net PowerBuilder C Pro*C Perl Java KornShell as well as MS SQL and Sybase databases.
The successful candidate will be responsible for software release management automation scripting deployment support and troubleshooting within a fastpaced environment. They will also play a crucial role in ensuring secure efficient and welldocumented software releases while maintaining highquality standards and adherence to best practices.
Responsibilities:- Manage and secure business application source code executable load modules and application data.
- Deploy new software releases and updates ensuring thorough testing and smooth implementation.
- Maintain detailed migration documentation including operating procedures standards and guidelines.
- Support acceptance testing and production environments ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
- Assist with problem resolution and provide general deployment and application maintenance support.
- Develop and enhance automated tools/scripts to streamline deployment processes.
- Provide oncall deployment support as needed.
- Work efficiently in a fastpaced environment with minimal supervision.
- Track and report deployment status updates to the Manager and stakeholders.
- Follow quality assurance guidelines to maintain highquality deployment standards.
- Manage deployment timelines to ensure smooth coordination of release activities.
- Be flexible to adapt to new technologies tools and processes as required.
- Ensure compliance with security policies including mandatory training and background checks.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field OR equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of experience in creating and maintaining batch scripts and utilities.
- 3 years of experience in application maintenance and development including writing modifying and supporting software.
- 4 years of experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS) and/or Azure DevOps Server.
- 4 years of experience building and deploying software solutions across multiple environments.
- 2 years of experience in Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- 1 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- 1 years of experience as a Deployment Analyst for UNIX applications.
- 1 years of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 or higher.
- 6 months of experience with scripting tools (e.g. PowerShell).
- 6 months of experience using JIRA or Revision Control System (RCS).
- 1 years of experience using PowerBuilder for business applications.
