What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage a distributed team of core banking developers across scrum teams and business lines overseeing resource planning allocation and professional development.
  • Design build and implement vendorpackaged and custom solutions to enhance core banking platforms and enterprise applications aligned with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with project management teams and business units to deliver highquality efficient solutions using agile and iterative methodologies.
  • Coach mentor and motivate team members fostering a supportive teamoriented culture that values diversity creativity and customer satisfaction.
  • Influence executive leadership with insights on technology roadmaps vendor integrations and application architecture health.
  • Define design patterns review code and ensure compliance with coding security and governance standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in application management practices analyzing user feedback and performance metrics to innovate and optimize.

Skills Required

MustHaves:
  1. Jack Henry Technology Suite Experience (MakeorBreak): 6 years of handson experience with financial institution technologies specifically Jack Henry products (Symitar Synapsys Synergy SymXchange ARCU)—this is a nonnegotiable requirement.
  2. Software Development Practices: Expertise in software development methodologies version control and testing practices.
  3. Leadership & People Management: Proven ability to lead coach mentor and motivate teams for project delivery and career development.
  4. Executive Influence: Capability to influence executive leadership on strategic technology decisions.
  5. Agile Project Management: Strong understanding of agile and iterative project management principles.
NicetoHaves:
  1. Education: BS or MS in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Symitar Development: Handson experience developing integrating and supporting Symitar/PowerOn or RepGen applications.
  3. IBM AIX Knowledge: Familiarity with IBM’s AIX operating system.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for relational databases HTML and JavaScript.
  5. ITIL Framework: Experience implementing ITILbased engineering processes procedures and templates.

Required Education & Experience

  • 4year college degree or equivalent work experience (B.S. in Computer Science preferred).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with Jack Henry technologies (Symitar Synapsys Synergy SymXchange ARCU) and related financial institution platforms (e.g. MeridianLink Encompass Alkami COTS Image Center OpCon).

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Environment: Office setting with standard equipment; hybrid model requires a personal smartphone for multifactor authentication.
  • Physical: Frequent sitting occasional walking frequent use of hands constant hearing frequent talking occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
