Introduction
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) requires the services of one (1) Database Architect Level 2 hereafter referred to as Worker(s) who meets the general qualifications of ITSAC Database Architect Level 2 and the specifications outlined in this document for TWC.

This is a remote position. Ideal candidates must have a secure dedicated workspace with Internet service ability to maintain a reliable consistent work schedule and be available for weekly meetings and group collaboration via Microsoft Teams and other applications during regular business hours. Position may require team members to come into the office for scheduled meetings and there may be unscheduled requests with seventytwo (72) hour notice for any TWC business need. If applicable the work location will be at 101 E. 15th Street Austin Texas 78778.

Scope/Description of Services
The Worker(s) will provide the following services:
Perform Database Architect work as a member of the Data Governance team overseeing one or more projects concurrently. Document the “as is” schemas currently in use at TWC in Structured Query Language (SQL) Server databases and Oracle databases. Document existing data interfaces in the legacy system. Document existing downstream impacts of the legacy system. Document database process that currently extracts the data from the existing system for reporting purposes. Create data models and reverse and forward engineer data models in an Amazon Web Service SQL Server environment. Define and document the technical architecture of the new transactional system including the physical components and their functionality. Perform other analysis and documentation tasks as required to facilitate and support this migration project. Provide oversight and design of the migration and conversion of legacy data to the new database. Create scripts for data conversion and migration from legacy systems to new database platform. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.
