Job Description
Job Title : Senior Service Designer
Location: New York (Remote)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
- Design and improve workflows and service processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Apply lean methodologies to streamline operations and minimize waste.
- Develop service blueprints journey maps and ecosystem maps to align teams around a unified vision.
- Lead cocreation workshops with stakeholders to gather insights and drive innovation.
- Utilize systems thinking to analyze and redesign interconnected service components.
- Conduct user research through interviews surveys usability testing and contextual inquiries.
- Utilize both quantitative and qualitative data to inform service design decisions.
- Advocate for usercentered design ensuring compliance with ADA accessibility standards and inclusivity best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate service effectiveness using AIenhanced usability testing realtime sentiment tracking and behavioral analytics.
- Work closely with UX designers product managers and technology teams to translate service insights into tangible solutions.
- Ensure smooth integration of service design insights into existing systems and processes.
- Conduct stakeholder alignment sessions design reviews and cocreation workshops to ensure buyin and clarity.
- Support change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of service improvements.
- Leverage tools such as Figma Miro and Lucidchart for service design visualization.
- Utilize usability testing tools remote collaboration platforms and agile project management tools like Azure Boards.
- Apply data visualization tools (Google Analytics Tableau Power BI) to track user behavior and improve service outcomes.

- 8 years of experience in service design systems thinking or a related field.
- Expertise in service blueprinting ecosystem mapping and journey mapping to identify pain points and improvement opportunities.
- Proficiency in user research methodologies including usability testing contextual inquiry and longitudinal studies.
- Experience developing personas journey maps and service blueprints to align teams and guide decisionmaking.
- Strong skills in visual storytelling to effectively communicate complex ideas.
- Proficiency in Figma Miro and Lucidchart for interactive prototyping and design validation.
- Ability to lead crossfunctional teams in agile environments.
- Excellent communication skills with experience facilitating workshops stakeholder presentations and design reviews.
- Portfolio required: Candidates must include a link to their online portfolio showcasing service design artifacts user research methodologies and problemsolving approaches.
- Experience developing wireframes prototypes and interactive designs to support service development.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies including sprint planning retrospectives and backlog grooming.
- Strong ability to work in multidisciplinary teams integrating perspectives from design research product and technology.
- Experience ensuring accessibility compliance (WCAG ADA standards) using AIassisted tools for automated audits.
- Expertise in datadriven decisionmaking using analytics and visualization tools.
- Ability to balance user experience improvements with business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Candidates must be willing and able to pass an assessment conducted by NYC hiring managers.
