Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
- Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings perform legal research and work with senior attorneys to provide legal advice
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts pleadings briefs affidavits motions and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
- Communicate with partners associates paralegals and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
- Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys paralegals and staff
Qualifications & Requirements
- Effective communication skills and problemsolving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
- Ability to work with partners and other attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
- Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
- Successful completion of the bar exam
- Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
- 1850 billable hours
