Opportunity Overview: We are partnering with a renowned manufacturing firm that is looking for an HR Coordinator. Under the direction of the Sr. HR Manager the HR Coordinator provides a broad range of expert services: recruitment and succession planning; employee development and training; employee relations; employment law and policy interpretation compensation and classification management; employee rewards/recognition; and regulatory compliance guidance and HR reporting. This is a warehouse HR role working onsite. The schedule is predominantly first shift; however there is a need for flexibility to support the second shift.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Aid in execution of the clients People Strategy processes that attract develop recognize and retain employees to support the organizations short and longterm strategic business needs
- Manage special projects in workforce management strategic planning quarterly/monthly people data reports and other adhoc works in progress
- Collaborate with talent acquisition (TA) teams to align hourly and salaried site staffing strategies via recruitment and onboarding tasks
- Utilize the performance talent and organizational planning management systems to help drive the achievement of company goals through objective and development plan setting performance calibration and talent development
- Guide site Leadership on all people management and development issues
- Build and maintain relations with employees to promote and foster an environment of open communication and transparent feedback
- Conduct investigations provide coaching and document findings when required
- Manage all HR admin and compliance tasks including UKG/Workday/Beeline actions payroll leaves of absence (LOA) Federal/State/Company employment law compliance and various related other tasks.
- Maintain effective health/safety policy and procedures to comply with corporate and regulatory requirements these activities include but are not limited to Safe Operating Procedures Lockout/Tagout Hearing Conservation Fall Prevention/Protection and Powered Industrial Trucks
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Certifications: - Bachelors (BA or BS) in Human Resource Management or related field (e.g. Business Organizational Communication Industrial Psychology or equivalent HR experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional level Human Resources Coordinator role including; employee relations investigations benefits payroll onboarding
- HR experience in a Manufacturing Plant Distribution Center or Warehouse environment is required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite as well as HRIS systems. Workday UKG and/or Beeline experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of employment law and regulations
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of the organization
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to analyze issues determine appropriate solutions and resolve sensitive problems
- Ability to work independently reliably and allocate time efficiently
- Ability to travel to other locations for training and/or support functions as needed
- Bilingual Spanish and English a plus
- Willing and able to work onsite MondayFriday during business hours
