Job Description
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive security architectures for IT systems networks and applications to defend against potential threats.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential risks within an organizations IT environment.
- Ensure that security practices comply with relevant laws regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and implement incident response plans to address and mitigate security breaches or other threats.
- Assess and recommend security technologies and tools to enhance the organizations defense mechanisms.
- Educate employees on security best practices and raise awareness about potential threats.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Strong understanding of network security encryption firewalls intrusion detection systems and other security technologies.
- Ability to analyse complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
- Stay informed about current and emerging security threats vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
- Experience in roles such as security analyst security engineer network engineer or systems administrator
- Manage security projects from conception through implementation including resource allocation and timeline management.
