Job Description
A thriving primary school in Hounslowis looking for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team on a fulltime permanent basis starting in April. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a mainstream primary school with a dedicated SEN provision supporting students with a range of special educational needs and ensuring that they receive the highest standard of education in an inclusive and supportive environment.
The Role:
- Delivering highquality SEN teaching to students with a range of learning and developmental needs within a mainstream primary school setting.
- Supporting students in the SEN provision delivering tailored lessons and interventions to help them reach their full potential.
- Working closely with the SENCO and other staff members to ensure individual education plans (IEPs) are implemented effectively and students needs are met.
- Differentiating lessons and learning activities to ensure that all students regardless of their needs have access to the curriculum and are supported in their learning.
- Collaborating with class teachers to support the integration of SEN students into the wider classroom setting and create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring and tracking student progress providing feedback to parents and the senior leadership team and adjusting strategies where needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in a primary school setting.
- Proven experience working with SEN students particularly in a specialist or inclusive classroom environment.
- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions with the ability to implement them effectively to support student learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with SENCOs teaching assistants and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students parents and staff.
- Passionate about inclusive education and committed to providing the best possible learning experience for all students.
