On behalf of P&O Ferrymasters MARPRO Group is looking for a Shipping Desk Agent to join our team in Gdynia Poland If you have a passion for the shipping industry and enjoy working in a fastpaced environment this is your chance to make an impact and grow your career with a global leader in logistics. You will report to the Shipping Desk Coordinator.
Due to the joint venture between Unifeeder Shortsea a division of Unifeeder A/S and P&O Ferrymasters this position will be hired at Unifeeder A/S.
The job
As a Shipping Desk Agent you will be at the forefront of ensuring seamless and efficient transport order settlements in alignment with customer agreements.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Strategically booking shipments through optimal routing.
- Vigilantly monitoring shipment timelines to ensure timely and efficient dispatch.
- Conducting daily capacity planning forecasting and coordinating vessel cargo readiness.
- Managing data within port and customs systems including prebooking creation and container release.
- Facilitating clear and timely communication with various departments to achieve peak performance and maximum return.
Professional qualifications
- A university degree in transport logistics maritime studies or a related field.
- Proficiency in both English and Polish.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic knowledge of IT and computer systems.
Personal characteristics
- Strong interpersonal skills to build professional relationships.
- Initiative and the ability to improve internal processes and interdepartmental cooperation.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and manage pressure effectively.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
