Step into the role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at MilDef you will work within a project team responsible for mechanical solutions and design structures in both internal and customerspecific projects. You will create manufacturing drawings and also test and verify the mechanical design within the project scope.

Additionally you will collaborate closely with other disciplines within the Engineering Department providing support within your field of expertise.

Key responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the mechanical designs and solutions within the project scope and make sure it meets our high demands on quality.
  • Create manufacturing files and bill of materials.
  • Continuously document project tasks according to MilDef Products project process.
  • Report status on all mechanical aspects in assigned project to responsible project manager.
  • Contribute to building and verifying prototypes in the R&D laboratory together with the project team.
  • Take ownership of projectcritical tasks with a proactive and solutionoriented approach.
  • Drive continuous improvement in tools processes and methods for the Mechanical Engineering team.

What you bring

  • Solid knowledge of product development and astrong background in mechanical design.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in CAD software preferably Inventor.
  • Bachelors or masters degree in relevant discipline.
  • Social skills.
  • Strong problemsolving abilities combined with a high level of creativity.
  • Proficiency in both Swedish and English is necessary for this role.
