Nurse Manager Surgical Services RN
Location: McKinney TX
Schedule: Fulltime Days
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $85000 $125000 (based heavily on years of experience)
SignOn Bonus: Case by case basis
Relocation Assistance: Case by case basis
Role Overview
The Nurse Manager of Surgical Services oversees operations of the Operating Room Sterile Processing and Anesthesia departments. This leader ensures highquality patient care adherence to professional standards and efficient department management. The role collaborates across disciplines to optimize surgical services and ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and functional direction to OR supervisors and staff.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies legal standards and accreditation requirements.
Monitor and evaluate perioperative practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless surgical services.
Directly manage Operating Room Sterile Processing and Anesthesia departments.
Qualifications
Education:
BSN required; MSN preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of RECENT acute care perioperative nursing management experience (Charge Nurse or Supervisor experience considered).
Strong OR background required.
Licensure/Certifications:
Current RN license in Texas or Compact State license.
BLS certification.
CNOR certification required within one year of hire.
Additional Highlights
Facility Size: 285 beds expanding to 400 after planned growth.
Surgical Specialties: Ortho Robotics General and GYN (no Burn or Eye Surgery).
OR Setup: Currently 7 operating rooms with 4 additional ORs planned next year and an additional 2 in future expansion.
Reports To: Tunisia McDowell Director of Surgical Services.
Support System: Includes OR nurses techs and Sterile Processing leadership.
Hiring Process: Initial interview with Director followed by peer interviews with nurses techs and leadership panels including the COO.
