Job Description
Company Overview: Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Pipe Layer with successful and progressive experience in performing Heavy Highway Contractor working in and around City and Stateowned roadways.
Position Summary: The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 3 years Heavy/Civil Construction experience with pipe layer as a duty.
Responsibilities:
- Must understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to communicate with equipment operators
- Must be able to dig trenches to locate utilities using hand or trenching tools
- Must be able to handle fit/cut and install drainage sewer water and associated appurtenances
- Must be able to fine grading trench bottoms to correct elevation manual placement and compaction of pipe bedding
- Construction of sewer or drain manholes which includes finishing of poured in place concrete inverts
- Setting up pipe laser layout of pipe routes following written instructions with Supervisors
- Perform incidental work items and duties of other crafts
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of pipe layer experience with drainage pipes of all sizes and materials waterline sewer gravity and force main
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must have a reliable transportation
- Must be able to work occasional nights
- Must be able to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions

- Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles
- Team player and with strong interpersonal and verbal skills
- Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Our client is seeking a Off-Road Equipment Mechanic to diagnose and repair various types of earth-moving equipment mainly focusing on dozers, bob cats and other equipment as well.
Education
3-5 years of experience as a mechanic (either in a shop or on the road) Valid Driver s License with clean motor vehicle record. Previous experience managing a shop, including inventory control, is a big plus
