We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 5 Teacher for a goodrated 2form entry school located in Croydon starting after the February half term 2025. This is a fulltime position. Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of Year 5 students.
- Create a positive stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for development.
- Encourage students to take responsibility for their learning and develop their critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum delivery.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
- Participate in staff meetings professional development and school activities as required.
Year 5 Teacher Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 particularly in Year 5.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
- A teamoriented approach with a passion for creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and best practices in teaching.
