Job Description

JOB TITLE: Composite Repair Technician
LOCATION: Kinston NC
PAY RATE: $42/hour

MUST BE US PERSONS

We are a national staffing firm partnering with toptier aerospace companies and we are seeking firstclass employees to join our clients teams!

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role

Summary:

  • Lay out assemble prefit and bond metal composite or laminate parts assemblies and equipment.

  • Follow engineering and manufacturing specifications to determine bonding requirements including temperature and pressure.

  • Cut parts or materials to size and apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges.

  • Operate autoclaves hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycles.

  • Sand burr and smooth bonded areas as needed.

  • Perform complex rework or repairs as required.

  • Verify quality in accordance with controlled procedures.

  • Use layup tools (optical and hard tools) for composite and metal assembly fabrication.

  • Read and interpret prints charts sketches work orders and technical documents.

  • Use precision measuring instruments and shop mathematics for accurate assembly.

  • Maintain and certify tools and equipment per procedures.

  • Handle and control solvents/cleaning solutions per established guidelines.

  • Perform routine minor machine maintenance.

  • Support production flow by training and assisting other employees.

  • MVP qualification training provided.

Required Skills:

  • 25 years of Composite Repair experience (Aerospace experience required).

  • Ability to start ASAP and work any shift including overtime/weekends as needed.

  • Must be able to stand and work for a full 8hour shift.

  • Local candidates strongly preferred.
