Job Description

Roles and responsibilities


Origination, marketing, and sales of polymer products representing the front face of QatarEnergy to global clients.
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct Market Research: Study market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity in the polymer industry to identify new opportunities and gaps in the market.
Analyze Customer Needs: Understand the needs and challenges of different industries that use polymers (e.g., automotive, packaging, textiles) and tailor marketing efforts to address those needs.
Monitor Industry Developments: Stay informed about new technologies, regulations, and trends in the polymer sector, including sustainable practices, product innovations, and emerging markets.
Product Promotion and Branding:
Develop Marketing Strategies: Create marketing strategies to promote polymer products, focusing on the unique selling points, performance advantages, and sustainability features of the materials.
Brand Positioning: Position the polymer products effectively in the market, ensuring they are recognized for their quality, innovation, and reliability.
Content Creation: Produce marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, case studies, and digital content (e.g., website copy, social media posts) that highlight the benefits of the products and services.
Product Demonstrations and Trials: Organize product demonstrations and samples for potential clients to showcase the performance of polymer products in real-world applications.
Sales and Relationship Management:
Sales Development: Identify and target potential clients in industries such as automotive, packaging, medical, and construction who require polymers for their operations.
Client Acquisition: Build relationships with new clients by presenting polymer products and solutions that meet their needs, converting prospects into long-term customers.
Maintain Client Relationships: Foster strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business by understanding their ongoing requirements and offering suitable polymer solutions.
Negotiation and Closing: Lead the negotiation process to close sales, working to achieve favorable terms while maintaining profitability for the company.
Customer Support: Provide post-sale support, including troubleshooting, providing technical assistance, and handling any concerns or complaints regarding the polymer products.


Desired candidate profile

At least 8-10 years of professional work experience in Polymers marketing, sales management, customer relationship management and managing commercial operations. Preferably with a mid to large size organization in the Polymers industry.
- Experience in origination of new clients and/or markets.
- Experience in commercial agreement negotiations and implementation.
- Knowledge of product value chain and areas in commercial agreements where further value can be extracted and where value must be protected.
- Detailed knowledge of principles, policies, procedures, and internal processes pertaining to sales and marketing planning activities.
- Excellent negotiation skills. Strong ability to conclude deals with clients and finalize sales agreements

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the field of Business/Commerce (Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, etc) or in the field of Engineering (with relevant experience in marketing and sales).
