All Teachers at Rocky Mountain Prep will:
- Own student outcomes by setting high expectations using data to guide your teaching maximizing instructional time reteaching where needed and promoting outstanding scholar growth and proficiency.
- Take ownership of your professional growth by actively engaging in regular coaching being open to feedback and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Be consistently punctual and prepared for all lessons coaching sessions staff meetings and other professional obligations (such as PD parentteacher conferences etc).
- Build a strong inclusive classroom culture where scholars thrive through proactive routines culturally responsive structures and restorative practices that foster belonging.
- Foster strong relationships with families through consistent communication home visits and engagement in school events embracing each familys unique perspectives and promoting inclusion and diversity
- Model and embody RMPs PEAK values (Perseverance Excellence Adventure and Kindness) in all interactions with scholars families and staff.
- Collaborate with colleagues special education teachers and support staff to deliver gradelevel content and targeted interventions for all students.
- Participate in and contribute to schoolwide initiatives professional development and student and staff recruitment efforts.
- Support school operations by assisting with daily duties such as arrival dismissal and lunch ensuring a smooth safe and organized learning environment.
- RMP is fastpaced and datadriven. Your role combines clear expectations but also requires flexibility to adapt and contribute to our evolving Concept Essence.

- Read and fall in love with the unit texts: Cultivate a deep enthusiasm for the texts you teach as your passion will be integral in students connecting to and engaging with the material on a deeper level.
- Write gradelevel exemplars of writing tasks diagnose writing and efficiently give batch feedback: Guided by your clear highquality writing exemplars for students diagnose writing challenges and deliver timely efficient batch feedback that supports students in improving their writing.
- Be a scholar of the Common Core Standards: Understand the gradelevel expectations outlined in the Common Core Standards using them to define your bar of rigor.
- Be a scholar of the Science of Reading: Immerse yourself in the Science of Reading to improve your approach to literacy instruction continuously. Use evidencebased strategies for building knowledge enhancing vocabulary and ensuring comprehension with a special focus on fostering a love of language and words.
- Champion our Accelerated Reading Goal: Model and support students in achieving our goal of reading 2 million words. Do this by being knowledgeable about their progress and celebrating milestones along the way. Help students understand how reading widely and frequently increases their comprehension of other texts.
- Champion our Reading Academy program: Whether its teaching Reading Academy during a flood block or staying abreast of students growth in their foundational reading skills support students in becoming confident and capable readers.
Qualifications :
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors or masters degree (any subject)
Other Requirements
- Within the first year of your employment its required to complete CDE READ Act training or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) 45 contact hours
- Pass a background check
- Demonstrate Eligibility to work in the United States
- Preferred Certifications
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: Fulltime position with a salary range of $60000 to $89000 based on experience and qualifications.
- Benefits: Includes health insurance (medical dental vision) disability insurance life insurance PERA retirement and paid time off.
