The Field Site Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the construction installation testing and commissioning activities of large Power Projects and Synchronous Condenser projects. The candidate must be a Bachelors degree holder in Civil Engineering duly approved by the Saudi Council of Engineers with a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Construction and Installation Supervision:
Ensure civil construction and installation activities comply with project specifications design drawings and applicable standards.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to the construction schedule.
Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues in coordination with the engineering team.
Ensure safety quality and environmental compliance during project execution.
Maintain proper documentation and reports related to construction progress.
2. Testing & Commissioning:
Supervise and participate in the testing and commissioning of civil structures and related systems.
Coordinate with vendors contractors and internal teams for commissioning activities.
Ensure all testing and commissioning procedures are carried out as per project specifications and industry standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during commissioning.
Document commissioning results and prepare final handover reports.
3. Project Coordination & Reporting:
Work closely with the Project Manager Site Manager and other engineers to ensure smooth project execution.
Prepare progress reports risk assessments and mitigation plans.
Attend project meetings and provide technical inputs as needed.
Liaise with suppliers contractors and regulatory authorities when required.
4. Technical Competence & Compliance:
Stay updated with relevant civil engineering codes standards and best practices.
Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations and projectspecific requirements.
Conduct quality control checks and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
5. Documentation & MIS Utilization:
Maintain accurate records of project activities material inspections and work progress.
Utilize MS Office and Management Information Systems (MIS) for data analysis and reporting.
Prepare technical reports asbuilt drawings and closeout documents.
Qualifications :
Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional Certification: Must be approved by the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
Experience: Minimum eight (8) years of experience in large Power Projects and Synchronous Condenser projects.
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles design specifications and industry standards.
Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and familiar with MIS systems.
Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills (verbal & written).
Leadership & ProblemSolving: Ability to lead teams coordinate activities and resolve onsite challenges effectively.
Safety Awareness: Familiarity with HSE (Health Safety and Environment) protocols and commitment to safety compliance.
Additional Information :
Previous experience working on largescale power generation or transmission projects.
Exposure to Synchronous Condenser projects is a strong advantage.
Experience in multinational and multicultural work environments.
