Job Description

Are you excited by the world of technology and want to inspire the next generation of tech innovators We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Computing Teacher to join a dynamic academic team in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity to teach students at KS3 KS4 and KS5 helping them develop crucial digital and computing skills for their future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive computing lessons to students at KS3 KS4 and KS5.
  • Develop a comprehensive curriculum that equips students with both the theoretical and practical aspects of computing including programming digital literacy and cybersecurity.
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independent learning and encourages curiosity in the digital world.
  • Stay current with emerging computing technologies integrating innovative tools and platforms into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the department to share best practices and contribute to the development of the computing curriculum.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians to ensure students progress and address any concerns.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Computer Science IT or a related field.
  • A formal teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE QTS or equivalent).
  • Previous experience teaching computing at KS3 KS4 and KS5 is desirable.
  • Expertise in programming languages (e.g. Python Java JavaScript) and familiarity with industrystandard software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of computer science principles digital literacy and esafety.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of all abilities.

  • Creative and dynamic in lesson planning integrating new teaching strategies and technologies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
