Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Corrosion Repair
LOCATION: Mesa AZ
PAY RATE: $29/hour

We are a national staffing firm partnering with toptier aerospace companies and we are seeking firstclass employees to join our clients teams!

Summary:

  • Responsible for inspecting repairing and bringing used Apache Helicopter parts back to serviceability.

  • Work involves interpreting assembly drawings specifications and technical manuals and verifying part dimensions and clearances using precision tools.

  • Inspect and verify parts for conformance to factory specifications using micrometers calipers and gauges.

  • Maintain a safe organized work area and adhere to FOD (Foreign Object Debris) awareness protocols.

  • Perform repairs on used parts (gearbox transmission and magnesium components).

  • Address corrosion nicks and scratches with minimal blending.

  • Analyze parts for necessary repairs and determine part substrate.

  • Verify paperwork including NCR information and part/serial number validation.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing/Liaison Engineers for planning or disposition clarification.

  • Perform hand finishing stud/bushing replacements some machining and chemical touchups (e.g. CAD Tagnite).

  • Measure parts before during and after damage removal to ensure tolerances are met.

  • Identify and remove various forms of corrosion.

Required Skills:

  • Typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma or GED)

  • Strong mechanical background.

Desired Skills:

  • Aviation experience is a plus.
