Job Description:
- The GIS group has undergone a significant expansion of GIS technical services delivery requiring a dedicated GIS Analyst to serve under the GIS Technical Services Coordinator to help manage the Departments GIS applications and data systems.
- The GIS Technical Services Analyst works under the direction of the GIS Technical Services Coordinator assisting in the full spectrum of technical services supporting GIS production efforts including but not limited to cloudbased GIS application and data systems future GIS systems planning and development GIS integration with other systems and GIS data management.

The total should equal to 100% (duties can be grouped if needed)
- GIS Cloud environment and services management serves as the DOA technical assistant for GIS cloudbased application and services development and delivery 30%
- GIS Architecture continuously maintain test and plan for GIS technology architectures that meet the Departments demand and assuring the DOA GIS technology keeps up with industry best practices 20%
- Ability to effectively interface with staff coordinate GIS technical development and consultant efforts and manage inhouse projects. 20%
- Data management and development the ability to maintain manage modify and integrate GIS data with current and planned DOA systems 20%
- Application management and development the ability to support integration of GIS applications with other DOA business systems 10%
Knowledge Skills And Abilities
- Skilled in utilizing web GIS platforms such as ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Portal.
- Aids in the development of documentation of technical processes and best practices.
- Customer service skills and willingness to apply critical thinking to troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of field collection applications such as Field Maps Survey123 and Quick Capture.
- Develop and/or update GIS web map applications to suit user base.
- Ability to work within SDE database perform edits and manage feature classes.
- Ability to maintain web GIS groups content and user permissions according to organizational structure.
- Ability to plan and carry out work assignments.
- Experience with GIS data interoperability with applications outside of the ESRI suite are a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Associates degree in Computer Science Geography Geospatial Technology or a related field.
- 3 5 years experience with ESRI GIS desktop software (ArcGIS Pro) and SDE database management and general GIS support
- 1 years experience with ArcGIS Online & Portal user management
Preferred Requirements (separate from minimum requirements and not required to qualify for the job)
BA/BS in Computer Science Geography Geospatial Technology or a related field and 5 7 years work experience in GIS
