Location: Chicago IL (Hybrid must be local)
Only W2 No C2C
Rate: $50/hour on W2
- Cloud Management Azure & AWS (VMs Storage Networking)
- Kubernetes & Terraform AKS EKS Infrastructure as Code
- Database Administration Azure Cosmos DB PostgreSQL SQL
- Experience: 5 years in cloud infrastructure and administration
- Certifications: Azure or AWS certifications preferred
- Location: Must be local to Chicago for onsite work as needed
We are seeking a Cloud Generalist with handson expertise in Azure and AWS to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for virtual machine management cloud networking Kubernetes orchestration Terraform automation and database administration. This role requires collaboration with crossfunctional teams to ensure scalability security and performance across cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Management:- Manage and maintain Azure & AWS Virtual Machines (provisioning scaling tuning)
- Administer Azure Storage & AWS Storage Accounts with a focus on security and data integrity
- Implement Azure Site Recovery for disaster recovery and business continuity
- Configure and optimize Azure Application Gateway Load Balancer and Traffic Manager for high availability
- Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) & Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) for containerized applications
- Administer Azure Cosmos DB PostgreSQL Azure SQL Database and Managed Instances
- Support AWS RDBMS and ensure optimal performance
- Design and implement cloud solutions aligning with business goals
- Assist in migrating applications and processes to the cloud
- Monitor and optimize performance cost and resource allocation across Azure & AWS
- Implement logging monitoring and alerting mechanisms using native cloud tools
- Cloud Platforms: Strong handson expertise in Azure & AWS
- VMs & Storage: Experience with VM provisioning scaling and storage management
- Kubernetes: Handson experience with AKS & EKS
- Networking: Familiarity with load balancers application gateways and traffic management
- Database Administration: Expertise in Azure Cosmos DB PostgreSQL SQL databases
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Terraform for cloud automation
- Certifications: Azure & AWS (Solutions Architect DevOps etc.)
- Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced collaborative environment
