Job Description
Leadership and Management:
- Provide leadership and direction to the engineering team fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous improvement.
- Supervise train and mentor engineering staff ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Coordinate and oversee the maintenance repair and upkeep of all mechanical electrical and plumbing systems within the hotel.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify any issues or potential problems and implement proactive maintenance measures as needed.
Project Management:
- Manage engineering projects from conception to completion including renovations upgrades and installations.
- Develop project plans budgets and timelines and ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budgetary constraints.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes regulations and safety standards including those related to fire safety building codes and environmental regulations.
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive safety program including regular training inspections and emergency preparedness procedures.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the engineering department budget ensuring that expenses are within budgetary limits and that resources are allocated effectively.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements and implement strategies to optimize operational performance.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar role preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical electrical and plumbing systems.
- Proven experience in project management including budgeting and scheduling.
- Knowledge of relevant codes regulations and safety standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
