We are excited to announce the search for a dynamic and driven Sales Manager focusing on Pet Food to join the ambitious team of our client a pioneering company in the Pet Food industry.
About the Role:
As a Sales Manager you will lead the development and implementation of effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the pet food sector. Your role will involve:
- Lead the development and execution of the already opened or prospect national and regional customers short and longterm strategies which optimizes profitability and sales revenue and achieves company category and customer objectives. Both channels PS & Grocery.
- Boost the listing of Inaba products through Grocery and PS specific customers. Being accountable to acquire new customers.
- Develops a good understanding of the customers environment external trends competitors and current and future needs leveraged to build shopper centric customer plans which drive mutual growth.
- Develops consistently accurate and timely forecasts using a variety of inputs from both consumption and shipment perspective adopting a continuous improvement mindset.
- Lead the development and execution of customer specific solutions. E.g. assortment merchandising pricing and promotion which achieve customer category and business objectives. Budget optimization.
- Drive the most relevant customer PT agenda and develops strong and influential
relationships with key customers focused on delivering shopper channel and
category centric solutions which accelerate customer engagement. - Evaluates and monitors customer initiatives to drive continuous improvement efficiency and effectiveness for both customer and company.
- Manage local price architecture. Manage pricing and listing for current portfolio andnew product launches with timely and effective execution to maximise customer
impact in the marketplace. - Manage customer/market P&L and trade investment that complies with internal
and external requirements. - Support Iberia Country Manager with the market and people strategy.
- Regarding People manage the creation of a sales team once the business allows todo it.

Process.
Your Profile:
- University degree in Marketing Sales ADE or similar. Studies in Veterinary will be
valuable. - 10 years of professional background with sales management (FMCG company preferredbut could be laboratories or Petcare industry).
- 3 years of professional background leading teams.
- Good knowledge of Office tools (specially Excel/PowerPoint) and management of Nielsen tools (Answers MSA Planograms or similar) is appreciated.
- Demonstrable ability to adapt to a changing market and competitive.
- Ability to lead and motivate a sales team towards achieving sales objectives.
- Experience with clients of different types and sizes: distributors regional and nationalretailers. Demonstrable contacts at the main FDM players and knowledge of Petcare
- Team player with a strong desire to contribute to the companys growth in the Portugal Market.
