Job Title: IBM Administrator
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Responsibilities:
- Administer configure and maintain IBM servers software and applications (e.g. AIX WebSphere DB2 Tivoli IBM iSeries).
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Perform system upgrades patches and security updates.
- Manage backup recovery and disaster recovery processes.
- Optimize system performance through tuning and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support business applications and infrastructure.
- Maintain system security user access controls and compliance standards.
- Document system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guidelines.
Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience in IBM system administration.
- Proficiency in IBM AIX WebSphere DB2 IBM i (AS/400) Tivoli and related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments and scripting (Shell Python or Perl).
- Experience with virtualization cloud technologies and storage solutions.
- Experience with IT security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent troubleshooting problemsolving and communication skills.
- IBM certifications (e.g. IBM Certified System Administrator) preferred.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
