Job Description
Cyber Security Architect Canberra with hybrid working model
The Security Architect will design review test and assure the technical environment solution designs and implementations in line with current and emerging security best practices. They will contribute to technical architecture security policies and operational security enhancements ensuring compliance with the Essential Eight framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design: Develop robust security solutions to enhance cyber resilience.
- Implementation Guidance: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Cyber teams on Essential Eight control implementation.
- Collaboration: Work with Cyber Technology Operations and Application Delivery teams to integrate security controls seamlessly.
- Documentation: Create security architecture documents policies and awareness materials to strengthen security posture.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in security architecture frameworks including MFA implementation PAM patch management application control and system hardening.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Linux and MacOS environments.
- Proven experience as a Cyber Architect designing and implementing Essential Eight security controls.
- Expertise in MFA solutions privileged access management system hardening and patch management.
- Bachelors degree and/or relevant cybersecurity certifications.
- Experience in a Federal Government environment.
- Strong communication and problemsolving skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Australian Citizenship is mandate
