Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Controls Technician to install maintain and troubleshoot lowvoltage control systems in commercial industrial and residential environments. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise problemsolving skills and attention to detail to ensure the proper functioning of HVAC lighting and metering control systems particularly those from Honeywell and Schneider Electric. Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Follow blueprints and specifications to install lowvoltage control systems including running wires mounting panels and connecting devices to ensure all components are configured and functional.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections testing and preventive maintenance to keep systems operating smoothly repairing or replacing faulty parts as necessary.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in lowvoltage control systems addressing electrical failures communication issues and programming errors to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of all installation maintenance and troubleshooting activities including equipment specifications wiring diagrams and system configurations for future reference.
- Compliance: Follow safety regulations industry standards and company policies during installation and maintenance to ensure safe quality service.
- Customer Interaction: Work closely with customers project managers and other stakeholders to coordinate installation schedules provide updates and address any concerns or issues.
- Training & Development: Stay uptodate with emerging industry trends and technologies participating in training programs to enhance your technical skills and certifications.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in electrical engineering electronics or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with lowvoltage control systems installation maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles wiring techniques and control system components.
- Ability to read blueprints schematics and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with lowvoltage control protocols (Modbus BACnet LON).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering highquality results.
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment work in confined spaces and climb ladders as needed.
- Valid driver s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong commitment to safety practices and adherence to regulations.
