Job Description

Kickstart Your Career as a Water Quality Analyst EntryLevel FIFO Role!

SGS is seeking entrylevel Water Quality Analysts to join our team conducting essential fieldwork across the Pilbara region and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain handson experience in environmental monitoring while working with a global leader in testing and certification.

This FIFO role operates on an 8/6 roster (Thursday to Thursday) to Newman offering a balanced work schedule and the chance to build a strong foundation in water quality analysis. If youre eager to develop your skills in the field and grow within a dynamic team wed love to hear from you!

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Collect water samples according to Australian Standards including Potable Water Waste Water Sewage Water Soil and Hygiene for testing against regulatory guidelines such as the Australian Drinking Water Guideline.
  • Perform field tests to ensure results are within water quality acceptance criteria and to report anomalies immediately to the Project Coordinator/Client as directed.
  • Prepare daily field reports and ensure they are submitted within 24hours of sampling.
  • Arrange all field consumables sampling media and equipment as required for each job.
  • Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) and risk assessments as required for each allocated job.

    Qualifications :

    What Youll Need to Succeed

    • Degree in Chemistry Environmental Science or a related field (desirable but not essential).
    • Field experience in the mining sector and/or as a Field Sampling Technician (desirable).
    • Strong communication skills with previous experience in customer service and client liaison.
    • Cclass manual drivers license (essential).
    • 4WD training (desirable).
    • Senior First Aid certification
    • Willingness to work a FIFO roster (Thursday to Thursday).
