Job Description
As a Senior Data Engineer youll join our Data & AI Platform Data as a Service organization. You will help design enhance and build our data infrastructure and pipelines within an agile development environment collaborating with colleagues who will support and challenge you daily.
Essential Functions
- Design develop and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines and ETL processes with minimal supervision
- Ensure data services are highly available secure scalable and resilient.
- Improve and support production systems ensuring that production issues are promptly resolved
- Adhere to established software development guidelines and Visa security standards
- Collaborate with the agile team user community architects and support teams to understand requirements and implement effective solutions
- Drive innovation to differentiate our data products and accelerate timetomarket delivery.
- Represent the team in various technical forums and build deep partnerships with product management.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 60% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)
Proficiency with Big Data technologies such as Hive Hadoop and Spark
Strong programming skills in at least two of the following languages: Java Python Go Scala
Experience utilizing GenAI technologies in software development
Experience in an Agile environment with a strong emphasis on best software development practices such as CI/CD code reviews and test automation using tools like Jira and JiraAlign.
Familiarity with Cloud technologies like Azure AWS and RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as MySQL DB2 Redis and Cassandra
Additional Information :
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 510% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 129400.00 to 182750.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
