A hybrid work model requires at least 1 day a week at the office (Warsaw).
Welcome to the DEX Location Intelligences Data Science team where we pride ourselves on driving datadriven products that propel the business forward. Our expertise spans across many areas of geospatial analysis like origin destination volume management (ODVM) wherein we utilize a mix of Machine Learning (ML) Google Cloud Platform components advanced statistical software and GIS spatial databases. Geospatial domain empowers us to discover hidden patterns and trends in spatial data leading to optimization in route planning asset allocation and a superior understanding of our service areas.
Further we delve into network planning applying modeling techniques to support strategic thinking. This facilitates us in devising optimal routes for delivery and managing our distribution network. We also hold proficiency in delivery time prediction leveraging predictive analytics and machine learning to the best of their capacity. Consequently we transform large volumes of data into actionable solutions that make a significant difference in our business operations and decisionmaking.
You will be part of a team of data scientists working closely with product operations and engineering teams to build predictive models optimize delivery flows and ensure costeffective parcel routing.

In your daily work you will handle the following tasks:
Data Modeling & Analysis: Creating complex data models using machine learning deep learning and statistics to understand and predict patterns.
Data Processing & Automation: Employing Python and SQL on cloud platforms (mainly GCP) to process and automate petabytes of data.
Geospatial Analytics: Using GIS tools Python GIS libraries and locationbased data to extract insights and improve decisionmaking.
Operational Excellence: Identify and mitigate supply chain bottlenecks manage volume load across different routes and dynamically allocate volume between Allegros own operations (AOK) and thirdparty carriers.
Research Participation: Involvement in research activities whose findings and recommendations directly influence the development direction of our products.
Data Management: Collaborating with engineers to foster the availability integrity accuracy and reliability of data and pipelines.
Collaboration: Working with the team to tackle complex issues mentoring junior members and fostering knowledge sharing.
Communication & Data Visualization: Providing clear visually focused communication of advanced data insights to nontechnical stakeholders through report writing and presenting.
We are looking for people who:
Education: Graduated with a degree strongly related to statistical/mathematical modeling such as Mathematics Physics Economics or Computer Science.
Experience: Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Data Scientist role or a similar capacity
Mandatory Technical Skills: Are proficient in programming languages libraries and tools like Python Pandas Scikitlearn CatBoost XGBoost TensorFlow Matplotlib/Plotly Optuna Poetry Git and Tableau/Looker Studio.
Data Analysis Skills: Have experience with analyzing large data volumes using technologies like SQL (BigQuery) and GCP Platform (including Airflow and Vertex AI).
Technical Understanding: Good grasp of statistical machine learning and deep learning methods.
Critical Analyzer: Have strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data.
Adaptability: Quick at learning new technologies and keeping updated with industry trends.
ProblemSolving Skills: Eager to translate business problems into ML solutions.
Team Player: Committed to fostering a teamoriented environment centered around shared problemsolving.
Communication Skills: Can effectively communicate with business units from formulating an analytical problem to providing a clear and intuitive presentation of results.
Desired Technical Skills: Familiarity with PySpark GeoPandas Shapely spatial indexes Carto Esri Kubernetes is preferred.
