Role: Windows Infrastructure Support Analyst
Location: Calgary AB
Contract
The Windows Infrastructure Analyst works with other Rogers teams to deliver maintain and support internal/external applications and services which utilize the Microsoft Platform. Execute efficient effective operations within Rogers Microsoft environment:
- Supporting the Microsoft environment through standard ITSM Processes. Actively engaging on Service Requests/Incident/Changes/Problems that are escalated to the team in ServiceNow.
- Providing after hours 24X7 Support via an oncall rotation.
- Managing Microsoft Windows server resources (i.e. CPU Mem Storage); Creation and deletion of VM snapshots; Operating System Patching Upgrades/Lifecycle. (Versions 2003 to 2022; physical and virtual environments).
- Creating and maintaining support documentation.
- Provides input based on technical expertise and has a strong understanding of industry best practices keeping up with technology changes through ongoing self study.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with end users team members other groups and vendors.
- Keen interest and understanding of Security and Cyber Security concepts and how they pertain to the Microsoft landscape.
- Supporting Tier 1 and Tier 2 level teams; providing training and knowledge transfer to help better support Microsoft solutions.
- Participating in delivery of enterprise wide projects which require Microsoft foundations (i.e. Active Directory ADFS SSO etc.)
- Working with 3rd parties and vendors to implement integration with Microsoft technologies.
- Provide support/expertise to Rogers internal customers as required.
- Strong skills in application troubleshooting/support and an ability to stay calm under pressure. Serving as escalation resource and representing the team on large scale and sometimes complex application issues.
- Undertake a primary focus with proficient knowledge and capabilities in the following technologies:
- Account and Access Management Group Management GPO Multifactor Authentication (MFA and Identity Management (IDM).
- Active Directory DNS DHCP (Men & Mice) Certificate Services (PKI Venafi).
- Azure Automation Federation Services Application Proxy.
- Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Outlook Calendars Teams SharePoint.
- SCCM/Intune/Bitlocker Patching Automation and Endpoint Management.
- Provides support server resources and Microsoft technology platform in the delivery of Rogers technology projects and initiatives.
- Collaborates with applications teams in the provisioning and support Windows based servers and services.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd tier level support to Server Operations Desktop Services and Application Services teams with incidents and issues related to Windows servers and all Microsoft technology.
