Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Level 1 Sr. Technician to join our team. This role involves providing support and troubleshooting for our global Windows Linux/Unix infrastructure and Network including tasks such as system maintenance configuration security and general operational support. You will play a critical role in supporting escalations for client support tickets and operational systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the companys network and systems including Windows Linux/Unix environments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Domain/Active Directory OS deployments AD Policies and other systemrelated issues.

  • Assist with the installation and configuration of new systems manage server updates and handle system migrations.

  • Help with virtualization administration and support including HyperV and VMWare environments.

  • Administer configure and troubleshoot network services (DHCP DNS TCP/IP)

  • Assist in network administration and support including monitoring and troubleshooting.

  • Work closely with the team to maintain and improve system reliability security and performance.

  • Respond to incidents related to system/network performance escalated from lowerlevel technicians.

  • Assist in the configuration of basic firewall rules BGP MPLS QOS and other network management tasks under supervision.

  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for all systems and processes (ESSENTIAL)


Working Hours:

  • Normal business hours are MondayFriday 8AM CST to 5PM CST.

  • Remote position

  • OnCall Rotation

Requirements

Requirements:

  • A positive selfmotivated individual with the ability to independently complete tasks.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills with fluency in English.

  • Experience supporting Windows and Linux/Unix servers in a corporate IT environment.

  • At least 23 years of experience in Windows Active Directory Group Policies Domain Controllers and Security Hardening.

  • Proficient in basic scripting to automate tasks and troubleshoot.

  • Experience with VOIP/SIP systems and basic knowledge of network protocols like TCP/IP DNS and DHCP.

  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as HyperV or VMware.

  • Knowledge of network administration and support (firewall configuration routing protocols and network troubleshooting).

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate technical documentation (

  • A customerfirst mentality comfortable interacting with endusers and resolving technical issues.

  • Azure SharePoint OneDrive and Office365

  • Hudu NinjaRMM and HaloPSA

  • MikroTik Juniper UniFi and Cisco

  • VOIP SIP troubleshooting and packet captures

  • Corporate antivirus software experience. CrowdStrike Falcon preferred


Desired Skills:

  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.

  • Exposure to network security concepts such as VPN RADIUS and traffic shaping.

  • Experience with Veeam backup solutions is a plus.

  • Familiarity with IT service management tools like HaloPSA.



Proven experience as a Level 2 Technician in an MSP environment. Strong knowledge of networking, servers, data centers, enterprise environments, and VOIP systems. Experience with scripting for RMM automation. Proficiency in ConnectWise PSA and ConnectWise Automate/Labtech. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated experience in dealing directly with end-users. Capable of creating and implementing effective SOPs and managing comprehensive documentation. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, VCP). Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
