Job Description:
- An Inventory Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing inventory levels improving efficiency and supporting the overall supply chain strategy. Here are the primary tasks typically handled by an Inventory Analyst:
- Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to identify trends patterns and discrepancies. This includes assessing stock levels sales trends order histories and product performance.
- Forecasting: Use historical data and demand forecasting models to predict future inventory needs. This helps to ensure that stock levels are appropriate for upcoming sales periods promotions or seasonal shifts.
- Inventory Performance Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like stock turnover fill rate and order accuracy. Reporting on these metrics helps identify areas of improvement.
- Inventory Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations between physical inventory and recorded inventory in the system. This helps to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensures accurate stock records.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with other departments such as procurement warehouse management and sales to ensure smooth coordination and that inventory levels meet demand without overstocking.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to management on inventory levels trends and any issues or potential disruptions. This helps inform decisionmaking and strategy.
- Risk Management: Assess and help mitigate risks such as stock outs excess inventory or supply chain disruptions by continuously monitoring inventory and adjusting strategies. Inventory Analysts typically rely heavily on data analysis tools inventory management systems and software like Excel ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) or specialized inventory management software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field
- At least 2 years proven experience in inventory management.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar inventory management software
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
Additional Details:
- Work Schedule: 8AM 5PM Monday to Saturday
- Work Setup: Onsite NHA Buhangin / Dona Mercedes Sulpicio Road Sasa Davao
