Job Description
CyberSource Corporation a Visa Inc. company needs a Staff SW Test Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin TX to:
- Contribute to and build tools frameworks and other infrastructure needed to support automation.
- Participate in technical design sessions and writing technical design documents.
- Design and implement automation frameworks.
- Design code and implement automated tests in Java using Selenium or similar.
- Proactively solve problems and suggest process improvements.
- Create maintain and execute function regression and exploratory tests.
- Work closely with cross functional teams (e.g. Product Development) in understanding the requirements for writing and running tests in a live environment.
- Report defects in a timely manner and work with the Development team to manage defects until issues are resolved.
- Provide test case coverage and defect metrics to substantiate release decisions.
- Assist in ongoing process improvement efforts related to quality.
- Proactively create test cases for known defects and integrate them into the test suite.
- Mentor junior engineers to build their skills and contribution levels.
- Position reports to the Employers Austin Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related technical field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Staff SW Test Engineerrelated occupation.
- Test planning test scenarios creation test data creation and executing test cases.
- Preparing test data based on business scenarios and creating tools and scripts to manufacture test data.
- Coding and testing applications.
- Web applications and web services.
- Java and Javabased automation framework JavaScript J2EE XML unittesting shellscripting and RDBMS.
- Working with UI/UX automation with Selenium and multibrowser testing.
- Designing and building tools/utilities to improve testing effectiveness.
- CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and TestNg.
- Unit testing testdriven development security and performance testing.
- Debugging and troubleshooting in LINUX/UNIX containerbased servers.
Additional Information :
Worksite: Austin TX
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $112100.00 USD to $179400.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
