Job Description
- Complete monthend/yearend close processes including preparing account reconciliations journal entries and supporting working papers
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of accruals including proper coding and recording of revenue expenditures and balance sheet transactions
- Assist in reviewing analyzing and investigating accounts including reconciling data across systems
- Support the preparation and consolidation of monthly financial statements and recording of intercompany transactions across multiple subsidiaries
- Assist with interim/yearend audit processes within scheduled deadlines
- Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
- Liaise and work closely with other finance functions across multiple subsidiaries
- Perform ad hoc projects/assignments as required including system enhancement and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications :
- Undergraduate Degree in Finance Accounting Economics or related field
- CPA designation with 35 years of related accounting experience and strong knowledge of ASPE and multientity consolidations
- Experience at a Canadian Public Accounting firm is preferred
- Experience in the health care sector is an asset
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel Word etc.)
- Proficiency in using accounting software financial management tools and spreadsheets
