Job Description
Job Title: Hardware Engineer
Location: Cedar Rapids IA
Job Description:
- Design and implement highreliability electronic systems including PCBs embedded systems and power electronics.
- Lead and perform all aspects of circuit card design lifecycle activities including requirements capture schematic capture component selection signal integrity analysis simulations timing analysis and thermal analysis.
- Generate PCB layout constraint guidelines routing instructions creation of board stackup and oversee the routing layout fabrication and assembly of complex designs.
- Creation of test plans root cause analysis and testing of electronic circuits and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardwarerelated issues during development and testing phases.
- Design circuit cards using FPGA processor and DDR memory components as well as industry interfaces such as Ethernet PCIe I2C USB LVDS and SERDES bus technologies.
- Work collaboratively with team members and independently on assigned tasks.
- Utilize schematic capture tools for the creation of circuit card designs such as Siemens Mentor Graphics DxDesigner and/or Xpedition Altium Cadence Allegro EAGLE KiCAD etc.
- Familiarity with Agile for Hardware Development including planning tracking and managing hardware development projects in JIRA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hardware Verification and Validation of highlevel and lowlevel requirements complying with DO254 standards.
- Compliance with industry standards and regulations including DO254 and DO160.
- Experience working with requirement management tools like IBM Doors Jama.
