Job Description

Are you looking to join a dynamic and dedicated team in the field of supply chain management? We have an exciting opportunity for you as a Raw and Packaging Material Planner. Join our team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality Arla products. If you are proactive, analytical, and possess strong communication skills, we invite you to be a part of our team and contribute to the success of our supply chain operations.

About the Role:

As the Material Planner, you will have several key responsibilities.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive supply plan for raw and packaging materials, taking into account production schedules, inventory levels, and customer demands.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, New Product Development, Quality, and Procurement to minimize leftover material stock in case of new packaging material development or recipe changes.
  • Work with Finance team to clear supply process-related costs, such as demurrage, charges, credit notes, etc.
  • Collaborate with Production Planning, Production, Procurement and 3PL to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to identify potential shortages or excesses and take appropriate actions to optimize inventory levels while minimizing costs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, resolve any supply-related issues, and maintain strong relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, supplier information, and supply chain activities.
  • Continuously assess and improve supply planning processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements that may impact material supply and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Prepare reports and present supply chain performance metrics to management on a regular basis.

Who Are You?

To excel in the role of Raw and Packaging Material Planner, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA, Bsc) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Logistics or Supply Chain.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SAP.

In addition, you should have the following skills and attributes:

  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive with the ability to achieve goals independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Positive attitude and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
