Factory Controller
Job Summary
The Controller has a significant influence on the organization in that all management decisions at the operational level must be supported by the Controller. This is a specialist role and there are no positions subordinate to the Business Controller. The Controllers customers are all internal customers mainly the various operational departments (production maintenance quality environment purchasing logistics and warehouse). The Controller will be part of the regional teams and will work towards sharing and benchmarking best practices.
1. Factory Performance Key Figures (PKF) The Controller is responsible for ensuring that the PKF figures are accurate and is responsible for monitoring and following up on operational effectiveness quality and environmental issues. The Controller is responsible for pointing out to management areas where potential cost savings can be achieved.
2. Variable Production Costs (VPC) The Controller is responsible for providing management with an accurate view of variable production costs at the factory including ensuring that material consumption is accurate.
3. Cost Savings The Controller is responsible for providing detailed follow-up on PKF related cost savings investment related cost savings and all other possible VPC related cost savings.
4. Investment The Controller is responsible for ensuring that investments are made in accordance with the principles of ROCKWOOL group including assisting in the compilation of necessary information and reporting accordingly.
5. Costing/BOM The Controller is responsible for maintaining an accurate BOM and assisting the Operations department in processing new bills.
6. Budget/forecast The Controller is responsible for annual budget and 5 quarter rolling forecast according to ROCKWOOL group requirement and time schedule.
