Occupli are recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure and engineering organisation for an experienced SHEQ Manager to support a growing portfolio of projects across Ireland.
This is a senior operational role suited to a proactive safety professional with strong experience across construction utilities or energy environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving best practice across Safety Health Environmental and Quality standards while supporting project delivery teams across multiple live sites.
The role offers a mix of office remote and site-based working with regular travel required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and promote a strong SHEQ culture across operational project sites
Support project teams in implementing effective health safety environmental and quality processes
Ensure compliance with Irish legislation industry standards and internal management systems
Conduct regular site inspections audits and compliance reviews
Oversee incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively
Monitor subcontractor SHEQ compliance and documentation
Support the preparation and review of RAMS safety plans environmental documentation and quality records
Analyse SHEQ performance data KPIs and audit findings to identify improvement opportunities
Participate in project meetings operational reviews and tender support activities
Deliver SHEQ guidance mentoring and training across project teams
Promote continuous improvement initiatives and best practice across the business
Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience in a SHEQ management or senior advisory role
Experience within construction utilities infrastructure or energy sectors essential
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
Strong understanding of Irish health & safety legislation
Experience working with ISO management systems including ISO 45001
Incident investigation training desirable
Internal auditing experience advantageous
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Full clean driving licence with flexibility to travel nationwide
