We are hiring Suitably qualified persons for the permanent position of SeniorGrade Cardiac Physiologist into a Hospital in Tralee Ireland.
Cardiac Physiologist Senior Grade
Full-Time Permanent
Responsibilities
Perform and interpret a range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography ECGs Holter monitoring ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and exercise stress testing.
Assist with and support invasive cardiac procedures within the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory as required.
Ensure the accurate acquisition analysis reporting and documentation of diagnostic test results.
Provide high-quality patient care maintaining patient safety dignity and confidentiality at all times.
Operate maintain and troubleshoot specialised cardiology equipment ensuring compliance with quality assurance and safety standards.
Work collaboratively with cardiologists nurses physiologists and multidisciplinary team members to support effective patient management.
Participate in the development implementation and review of clinical protocols policies and best practice guidelines.
Supervise mentor and support junior physiologists students and other staff members as appropriate.
Contribute to service planning audit activities quality improvement initiatives and accreditation requirements.
Maintain professional competence through continuing professional development (CPD) training and participation in relevant educational activities.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies professional standards and all relevant regulatory requirements.
Participate in departmental meetings service development projects and research activities where appropriate.
Requirements
Hold a BSc in Clinical Measurement Science a Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Have a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience in a relevant clinical setting.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) accreditation is desirable.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently take initiative and assume a high level of professional responsibility.
