Role Title:Software Engineer IFD/DEX Decisioning Platform

About the team

TheDEX teambuilds and operates the decisioning platform that powers Customer Service and Trust workflows at eBay including automation and routing across Help Hub Agent Desktop Seller Help and related experiences.

Role summary

You will be a hands-onbackend engineerworking in the IFD codebase to design build and -based services and batch components that implement decision logic and rules for CS and Trust partners. Youll translate policy and operational requirements into robust observable and testable decision flows.

Primary job responsibilities

• Design implement and maintain.NET services and batch jobsin the IFD codebase that power decisioning and routing.
• Implement and evolverules and decision logic(e.g. decision tables mappings routing) in collaboration with domain partners.
• Build and supportAPIs and integrationsused by Help Hub Agent Desktop Seller Help and other internal clients.
• Drivecode quality and safetyvia unit/integration tests regression coverage and code reviews.
• Ownobservability and reliability(metrics logs alerts dashboards) for the services you build and support.
• Partner with product operations and policy teams totranslate business requirementsinto scalable technical solutions.

Basic qualifications

• Strong experience withC# building backend services APIs or batch systems.
• Solid understanding ofrelational databases and SQL.
• Experience working withdistributed services(REST APIs background workers or similar) in production.
• Demonstrated focus ontesting code quality and maintainability.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in complex integrated environments.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience withrules engines decision tables or decisioning platforms.
• Background infraud risk trust & safety or customer servicesystems.
• Experience withobservability tools(metrics logging dashboards alerting) for large-scale services.
• Experience modernizing or refactoring systems and improving deployment pipelines.
