About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of a mixed livestock farm specialising in beef cattle and sheep production. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of farm operations ensuring high standards of animal welfare productivity and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the beef cattle and sheep.
• Oversee livestock husbandry practices including feeding breeding lambing calving health monitoring and welfare management.
• Implement herd and flock management plans to maximise productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor animal performance and maintain accurate livestock records.
• Manage grazing systems pasture utilisation and forage production.
• Administer medicines and ensure compliance with veterinary treatment protocols.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards environmental regulations and farm policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a farm management or senior livestock role involving beef cattle and sheep.
• Strong knowledge of beef and sheep production systems animal husbandry and welfare standards.
• Experience in calving and lambing management.
• Ability to manage and motivate staff effectively.
• Competent in operating farm machinery and equipment.
• Good English problem-solving and decision-making skills.
