EHS Specialist Advanced Manufacturing Environment Ireland
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join a leading multinational manufacturing operation within a highly regulated production environment in Ireland.
This role will play a key part in supporting and continuously improving site EHS programmes systems and compliance initiatives while partnering closely with operational and engineering teams across the facility.
The successful candidate will provide technical EHS guidance support regulatory compliance activities and contribute to the development of a strong safety culture within a modern manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programmes and management systems.
Ensure compliance with applicable environmental health & safety legislation permitting requirements and internal standards.
Conduct audits inspections and compliance reviews to identify improvement opportunities and support corrective actions.
Provide day-to-day EHS technical support to operational teams projects and site activities.
Support risk assessments relating to equipment plant modifications process changes and operational activities.
Assist in maintaining high standards of documentation reporting and regulatory readiness.
Participate in incident investigations root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support contractor safety management and high-risk work activities where required.
Contribute to maintaining a proactive safety-first culture across the site.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess experience within a regulated industrial pharmaceutical biologics chemical or advanced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
Suitable backgrounds may include:
Pharmaceutical or biologics manufacturing
Chemical processing
Utilities or industrial operations
High-compliance production facilities
Preferred experience includes:
Environmental compliance and permitting
EHS auditing and management systems

Qualifications & Skills
Degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Health & Safety or related discipline preferred.
Strong working knowledge of EHS legislation and industry best practices.
Ability to engage effectively across operational and technical teams.
Strong organisational communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience working within fast-paced and highly regulated environments advantageous.
