Job Summary

Job Title: Excavator Operator

Location: Carrick-on-Suir Co. Tipperary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team in Carrick-on-Suir. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating excavators on a variety of civil and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate excavators for digging trenching grading lifting and material handling.
  • Carry out site preparation excavation backfilling and leveling works.
  • Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
  • Perform daily checks and basic maintenance on machinery.
  • Follow site drawings instructions and project specifications accurately.
  • Comply fully with all health & safety regulations and site procedures.
  • Maintain a clean safe and organised working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Excavator Operator / Digger Driver on construction or civil sites.
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates (required).
  • Strong knowledge of site safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable punctual and safety-conscious.
  • Full driving licence preferred.

Required Skills:

Minimum of OND/HND/ in Business Administration Industrial Relations Operations Management Engineering or related field Fresh graduates and candidates with 12 years experience are encouraged to apply. Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Responsibilities Assist in coordinating daily production and operational activities Monitor workflow and ensure timely execution of tasks Prepare reports documentation and operational records Support inventory tracking and material coordination Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth operations. Maintain compliance with company procedures and standards
