Role- Database Systems Administrator (Intermediate) /Role no 44
Number of Positions: one (1)
Location: Offsite (Must be within the Island of Ireland or an EU Country)
Contract Details
- Start Date: 1st July 2026
- Engagement Type: initial 12 months Full-Time with possibility of further extension
Mandatory Requirements (Pass/Fail)
1. Experience Level Required
It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed has the equivalent of senior level (4 to 6 years) experience
2. Availability on Commencement Date
The resource must be available to provide services from the commencement date of the services estimated to be 1st July 2026.
3. English Language Proficiency
Native English speaker OR
CEFR C2 Proficiency/Mastery (or equivalent)
If there is no certificate fluency will be assessed at presentation stage

Role Specifications and Requirements
1. Key Deliverables
The following non-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role.
Responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability reliability and performance and seeking to optimise in application PL/SQL statements as necessary and establishing best practices.
Provide expertise in the full development lifecycle from concept and design to testing.
Develops new database-centric functionality on existing software products.
Create technical and architectural documentation and create technical instructions throughout programme development.
Troubleshoot changes/errors/modifications.
Responsible for the performance integrity and security of a Re architecture and refactoring of legacy systems.
Ensures that data remains consistent across the database is clearly defined users access data concurrently in a form that suits their needs and that there is provision for data security and recovery control (all data is retrievable in an emergency).
Design schemes tables and servers and set permissions for users to access them.
Create shell scripts and perform timely backups of all key database systems.
Examples under this role/skillset might include but are not limited to the following: SQL Server or equivalent.
