What youll do

Our Finance team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting optimal financial management and efficient operations across Docusign. The team consists of Accounting Financial Planning and Analysis Revenue Operations Investor Relations and Business Operations. The Finance team partners across all organizations in Docusign to appropriately allocate resources inform key business decisions and facilitate the execution of our operational plans. This role coordinates the monthly and quarterly close process for the International accounting team owns transfer pricing and intercompany accounting and serves as a key resource to support the team on issues and initiatives as they arise. It is responsible for the monthly close process review and analysis of management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations and statutory accounting for Docusign entities in EMEA. Candidates should have experience with monthly close processes preferably in a US-headquartered multinational and a strong understanding of US GAAP and Irish or UK -depth knowledge of large company ERP systems (SAP and Oracle) and a demonstrable ability to drive change through automation and standardisation are required along with strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver results under strict deadlines in a rapidly changing cross-functional environment.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager Accounting.

Responsibility

  • Coordinate the month-end and quarter-end close process for the International accounting team ensuring alignment of deliverables with corporate deadlines and timely tracking and reporting of issues

  • Support month-end and quarter-end close for international entities including preparation or review of journal entries balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis

  • Review monthly transfer pricing calculations and ensure the monthly entries are accurately recorded for the International entities

  • Drive consistency and quality across the International accounting team including tracking and reporting of key performance indicators to management

  • Own the secondary ledger close and related processes to ensure best in class use and to ensure there is a value add impact on statutory reporting

  • Work with consolidations team to investigate issues and discrepancies related to intercompany

  • Support on technical accounting impacts when transactions or issues occur through independent investigation as well as collaboration with other key stakeholders

  • Participate and lead automation and improvement projects ensuring international specific concerns are raised

  • Work with and support other operational accounting teams such as payroll AR and AP as the need arises

  • Assist with US GAAP and statutory audits for international entities including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation reviewing financial statements and managing audit requests

  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or relevant discipline with CPA or equivalent license

  • 5 years post-qualification accounting experience in industry

  • Recognized accounting qualification (ACA ACCA CIMA or other similar international accounting qualification)

  • Experience with Irish or UK GAAP

  • Experience with US GAAP

  • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets

  • Experience working in a multi-currency environment

Preferred

  • Experience in a US headquartered US GAAP reporting public company

  • Ability to build productive cross-functional relationships

  • Experience driving process improvement and standardisation in a corporate ERP environment (Oracle or SAP)

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and to prioritise competing deliverables

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience.

Based on applicable legislation the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

Illinois Colorado Massachusetts and Minnesota: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

Washington Maryland New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

Washington DC: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

Ohio: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

Canada: CAD $X/hour - CAD $X/hour or CAD $X - CAD $X base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
