Role Overview
We are looking for a strong backend-focusedJava Software Engineerto build maintain and scale our core services and this role you will be instrumental in designing high-performance event-driven microservices architectures. You will leverageJava (Spring Boot)andApache Kafkato handle real-time data streaming ensure seamless system integration via robust APIs and drive backend reliability for our mission-critical applications.

Detailed Description

Backend Development

Design develop and maintain high-performance scalable backend applications usingJava(version 11/17) and theSpring Bootframework.

Microservices Architecture

Build decouple and deploy independent microservices. Implement core microservice design patterns (e.g. Saga CQRS Circuit Breaker) to ensure system resilience.


API Design & Integration

Design secure RESTful APIs and integrate internal/external web services. Ensure proper API documentation (using Swagger/OpenAPI) and manage API versioning.

Event-Driven Streaming

Implement distributed messaging and event-streaming architectures usingApache Kafka. Manage topic design partitions producer/consumer configurations and consumer groups.

Database Management

Design relational database schemas and write optimized SQL queries. Implement ORM mapping (Hibernate) and integrate caching layers to improve data retrieval speeds.

DevOps & Cloud Deployment

Containerize applications using Docker and collaborate on deploying microservices to orchestration platforms (like Kubernetes) via automated CI/CD pipelines.

Core Programming

- Extensive experience (Minimum 4-5 years) inJava 8/11/17.- Deep expertise in theSpring Ecosystem(Spring Boot Spring MVC Spring Data JPA Spring Security).- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design multithreading and concurrency.

- Experience with reactive programming (Spring WebFlux Project Reactor).- Familiarity with secondary backend languages like Python Go or .



Microservices & APIs

- Proven track record building and scalingMicroservices architectures.- Deep knowledge ofRESTful APIdesign standard HTTP codes and secure payload handling (JSON/XML).- Authentication/Authorization (OAuth2 JWT).

- Experience withgRPCorGraphQL.- Knowledge of API Gateways (e.g. Kong Apigee) and Service Mesh (e.g. Istio).



Messaging & Streaming

- Hands-on production experience withApache Kafka.- Strong understanding of Kafka architecture (Brokers Zookeeper/KRaft Topics Offsets Consumer Groups).

- Experience withKafka StreamsorKafka Connect.- Exposure to alternative message brokers (RabbitMQ ActiveMQ AWS SQS/SNS).



Databases & Caching

- Strong proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQLMySQL or Oracle).- Experience with ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA) and database connection pooling.

- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB Cassandra).- Experience with distributed caching systems (Redis Memcached).



Testing & CI/CD

- Solid unit and integration testing skills usingJUnit 5andMockito.- Experience with Git version control and CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions).

- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).- Familiarity with contract testing (e.g. Pact).



Cloud & Infrastructure

- Experience containerizing applications withDocker.

- Experience deploying toKubernetes (K8s).- Exposure to major cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure).
