Job Summary

This is a remote position.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Copilot Developer to deliver a focused production-ready build for a UK SMB client. The engagement involves building a conversational Copilot agent in Microsoft Teams that retrieves content from an on-premise file share and curated manufacturer websites converses iteratively with the client and populates a Word document template before writing it back to the correct on-premise job
folder. This is a technically interesting build combining modern Microsoft Copilot tooling with legacy on-premise infrastructure in a real-world production environment. You will work closely with the engagement lead throughout the build with regular touchpoints and collaborative test sessions.

Contract Details
Duration: Estimated 6098 hours over a 46 week engagement window
Type: Contract (ad hoc); potential to transition to ongoing or full-time depending on
client workload and pipeline
Start: Within 23 weeks subject to prerequisites
Rate: Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with verified experience)

SharePoint architecture
Experience structuring unstructured data for Copilot readiness / data cleansing
Comfort sitting on pre-sales calls to provide technical sanity checks

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

The following are non-negotiable. Candidates without hands-on production experience in
these areas will not be considered:
Copilot Studio declarative agents Entities dynamic URL variables publishing to
Teams system prompt design
Microsoft Graph Connectors / Connector Agent configuration against on-premise
file shares
On-Premises Data Gateway configuration and integration with Power Automate
Power Automate cloud flows inside Dataverse Solutions Word Online (Business)
connector with content controls on-premise file system writes
Microsoft 365 Administration DLP policy reconciliation tenant-level configuration
Proven Copilot deployment experience in live production environments (deployment
evidence required years of experience alone are not sufficient)
Candidates should be prepared to discuss specific production deployments involving Copilot
Studio Graph Connectors and/or on-premise integrations.
Note: The combination of Copilot Studio Graph Connectors On-Premises Data
Gateway is a specific and narrow skill set. A general Power Platform background will
not meet this bar.

Technical skills get you in the room. The following gets you the role:
Proactive communicator you flag issues as soon as they appear not at the
deadline.
Surfaces blockers early problems get raised and solved together not buried.
Collaborative by nature this build requires close working not silent delivery.
Comfortable with ambiguity real deployments rarely go to plan; logical problem-
solving under pressure is essential.
Strong English communication written and verbal for direct daily collaboration with
the engagement lead.
