About Us Heritage of Pride, Inc. (NYC Pride) traces its roots to the organizers of the first Christopher Street Liberation Day, staged in June 1970 to commemorate the Stonewall Riots. Today, Heritage of Pride produces NYC Pride, the iconic roster of events that inspire, educate, commemorate, and celebrate the LGBT and ally community. We are most commonly known for: The Rally The March PrideFest Teaze Pride Island The Brunch Family Movie Night Bliss Days Youth Pride Heritage of Pride's Board of Directors, who are elected by a volunteer membership body, are responsible for fulfilling the organization's annual program plan.
