Your Role

As an Engineering Manager with a hands-on mindset you will lead a cross-functional team responsible for Statistas internal Content Tooling platform - a key enabler for our in-house researchers and data close collaboration with a strong Product Manager youll be at the forefront of building AI-enabled content production at scale. Together youll shape the roadmap empower a senior engineering team and deliver high-quality scalable and cost-efficient solutions.

Your Tasks

• Lead a team of backend frontend and QA engineers creating a supportive environment where people can grow and do their best work.

• Carry a clear 12-18 month direction for the team and keep it intact when org priorities move.

• Own cross-team interfaces and dependencies so engineers can stay focused on the work.

• Drive engineering excellence and accountability for the stability performance and maintainability of the tools you build and own.

• Lead and deliver migration projects - Statista has a long history of building internal tools; youll work to consolidate whats still valuable and phase out the obsolete.

• Bring modern AI-assisted engineering practices into the teams workflow with responsible review and clear ownership.

Your Profile

• 3 years of experience leading cross-functional product-oriented engineering teams

• Solid grasp of full-stack development ideally with Java React and both relational and NoSQL databases

• Strong understanding of distributed system design particularly microservice architectures

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset - you build strong relationships with senior engineers product peers other engineering managers and various stakeholders

• Familiarity with building applications on AWS

• Bonus: experience developing GUI-heavy internal tools or platforms
